What Erasmus University lacks in my opinion is an environment in which freedom and openness are central. I have been studying at EUR for three years now and what I have noticed in recent years is that the university mainly directs students to think unanimously, one-sidedly and without nuance. For this reason, I have decided to join Liberi Erasmi. As a party, we believe it is important that political opinions or ideologies should not form the core of education within an academic environment. On the other hand, students should be able to focus on self-development and should be able to think critically about both theory and their environment. With Liberi Erasmi, I therefore want to achieve that Erasmus University becomes a place where everyone is welcome and where there is non-selective, but real inclusivity and tolerance towards each other.
